Commercial Dance Holiday Programme
Programme Overview
This full out, industry relevant, exhilarating week of commercial dance classes, will guide students aged 11-16 through a range of dance styles, industry advice and Q&A sessions. Lead by working commercial dancers and choreographers, imparting their well established knowledge of the commercial industry onto the next generation of dancers. The week will culminate with a presentation for friends and family

Whilst this course has been designed for all abilities, the Commercial Dance Intensive is geared towards those who have had some previous experience/knowledge or a strong passion for commercial dance.
Programme Content
Throughout the 5 days of workshops and masterclasses students will study subjects such as: House dance, hip hop dance, locking, fusion of styles class (commercial), dancing for camera, choreography repertoire, industry Q&A’s.
Dance
Students will be taught a variety of dance genres by extremely sought after and highly credited performers and teachers, all of which are fully vetted by us. Dance styles may include house, locking, hip hop, fusion (commercial), choreography repertorie and choreography skill. Our teachers teach at some of the U.K's leading vocational performing arts providers and / or perform in film productions, large artiste arena tours, TV and film.
Dancing for Camera
Dancing for camera is a huge part of the commercial dance sector and requires certain techniques. Our highly experienced teachers will guide students through workshops and masterclasses to give them a unique opportunity to experience dancing infront of a camera. All of our commercial dance educators have extensive experience in this skill to pass on their craft to their students.
Industry Tips
Students will be given invaluble industry tips for the commercial dance industry through Q&A sessions, industry talks and specific skill masterclasses. Each teacher will specialise in a certain area of expertise and will have extesnive experience and talent to share with students.
Programme Faculty
CEI holiday programmes work on a 1 : 20 teacher to student ratio. Each of our faculty members are carefully hand selected from our pool of highly experienced performers and teachers. All CEI holiday programme educators are trained specialist within their field of expertise and have exceptional abilities to deliver their craft to students. The intensive 5 day training programme provides a unique opportunity for students to work closely with working creative professionals from stage and screen.
Example Day Structure
The table below is an example of a typical day at CEI's Commercial Dance Holiday Programme. The day will consist of between five and six classes per day, a more detailed timetable will be emailed to each registered student six to eight weeks prior to the programme start date.

Enter your personal details into our online registration form and make payment for your programme. You can take advantage of our flexible payment option by selecting 'Pay in 3', allowing you to spread the cost of the programme over three interest free payments using your PayPal account. As soon as you have entered your personal details, selected your payment method and clicked the 'Submit' button, you will be sent a confirmation email with your booking reference number.

Six to eight weeks prior to your programme start date you will receive an email confirming any learning resources you may want to bring with you such as a notebook, pen, suitable clothing ideas and any props you might require for the skilled masterclasses. You will also receive a finalised detailed timetable and faculty description.
